The Shard is an 87-storey skyscraper in Southwark, London that forms part of the Shard Quarter development.

Standing at 310 metres, the Shard is the tallest building in the EU and despite its incredible size, it is host to a mere 48 parking spaces. Parking is so exclusive that it is reserved only for office workers and guests of the luxurious Shangri-La hotel.

Whilst it is widely known as the tallest building in the EU, lesser known are the six underground levels. Underground, you will find the Klaus Multiparking fully automatic MasterVario R3 shelf system.

Each level is equipped with 8 parking spaces and parks vehicles quickly, safely and in the least amount of space as possible. The optimal access times and anti-theft and damage protection ensure ultimate efficiency and safety in the busy city.

The Shard

The Shard, standing at 309.6 meters, is the tallest building in the UK and the seventh tallest in Europe.

The Shard

The Shard's observation deck, known as "The View from The Shard", offers a 360-degree, 40-mile view over London, making it one of the city's most popular tourist attractions.

This parking solution from KLAUS Multiparking and DPS requires 50 percent less space than a conventional model. The systems are narrow and elongated and can be designed as an over-ground, underground system or a combination of both. Due to the shelf aspect of the system, the need for ramps and lane widths is significantly reduced.

The Shard opened in 2013 and was designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano.
